Letter From Department Commander Gordon Lam - 10/28/2008

Comrades,

I received a letter yesterday from National concerning a father who is deeply concerned by the absence of VFW support in his military medical facility. Luckly, this was not in our state. We need to pay close attention to those individuals that may be in our hospitals or local area. VFW National Commander-in-Chief Glen Gardner is asking all of us to focus our efforts by personally visiting our wounded troops in hospitals, both military and VA, the military's Wounded Warrior Battalions or even in their homes, if necessary.

Please let myself, the Department line officers and especially the Department Chaplain so we may give them and their loved ones our support.

Please pass this message to any comrades and posts who do not have email.

Thank You

Gordon K. Lam
Commander,
VFW Dept of NM
